GOAL

Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) is currently being advanced to ensure water use efficiency and the soundness of the water cycle within watersheds. This approach comprehensively considers water quantity, quality, disaster management, and aquatic ecosystems, while encompassing sustainable demand management centered on water governance and stakeholder participation.

The Integrated Watershed Management Institute (IWMI) aims to transcend the current functional unification of water management between the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Environment. Our goal is to conduct R&D and provide services that offer watershed-based solutions for substantive IWRM, particularly by accounting for agricultural water.
